What is Expected From the Delegates

In this committee, each delegate will be representing an allocated state that primarily had major involvement in the political landscape of Central Asia and Turkic states between the years of 1990 and 1995, in the first-ever assembly of "The Assembly of Turkic Speaking States" in 1992. You will be carrying out negotiations between states with the first and foremost adjective of stabilizing Central Asia with the collective effort of the Turkic States and the secondary objective of establishing the groundwork for an organization and/or union between states who share the same Turkic heritage that will aim to have collective decisions or policies on military, economy, culture and international relation matters that benefit all member states.

You will be making decisions dependent on your state's policy and pushing your own stance on topics while acting out actions supporting or opposing the cause. The object of the Assembly and what the present Turkic States should prioritize is encouraging the autonomous republics to push for complete independence while pressuring the opposing states via policies or actions taken. Another priority is to shift the focus to already existing issues and conflicts between the Central Asian States, work collectively to solve the issues in the most humanitarian way possible or prepare the groundwork for needed negotiations and agreements. After all, stabilizing the turbulent political scene of Central Asia and especially the Turkic States is the underlying step for establishing the foundation for a Turkic Union. Delegates should keep their county policies in mind at all times while making decisions and taking action.

It is anticipated that the delegates will have, at minimum, deliberated over the major conflicts of interest identified earlier and reached a consensus on the course of action that the Turkic States should pursue. Ultimately, to finalize the outcome of the Assembly, a declaration or an agreement containing a minimum of nine provisions (covering nine primary areas of conflict of interest) will be signed by all participating governments (not including the guest governments). The ultimate objective is to at least have the organization’s framework established and to reach a consensus on calling other assemblies to debate the aforementioned organization, thereby transforming the "Assembly of Turkic Speaking States" into an ongoing political body.
